About the Role:

As Deputy Manager, you will support the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of the home, ensuring high-quality care, Ofsted compliance, and a positive, therapeutic environment for children with Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (EBD). This role is perfect for a passionate leader who thrives in a hands-on and strategic position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leadership & Team Support:

  • Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of Support Workers.
  • Foster a positive, structured, and therapeutic environment.
  • Assist in managing staff rotas, training, and performance appraisals.

• Care & Safeguarding:

  • Ensure the safety, well-being, and personal development of young people with EBD.
  • Implement and oversee individual care plans and behaviour management strategies.
  • Work closely with social workers, families, and external professionals.

• Compliance & Quality Assurance:

  • Support the Registered Manager in achieving and maintaining Good or Outstanding Ofsted ratings.
  • Ensure all safeguarding, risk management, and care planning procedures are followed.
  • Contribute to continuous service improvement and development.

• Operational Management:

  • Balance admin days and on-shift responsibilities, ensuring smooth operations.
  • Play an active role in staff recruitment, development, and engagement.
  • Support the Registered Manager in key decision-making and home management.
