About the Role:
Working alongside the Registered Manager, you’ll help lead a dedicated team caring for children with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD). You’ll play a key role in maintaining a safe, therapeutic environment and ensuring the home runs smoothly. Responsibilities include:

Supporting the day-to-day management of the home and deputising when required

Leading shifts and coaching team members to provide consistent, high-quality care

Promoting a child-centred, trauma-informed approach throughout the service

Supporting behaviour management, safeguarding, and care planning

Monitoring care standards and contributing to audits and quality checks

Building strong relationships with young people, staff, and partner agencies

About You:

Experience in residential childcare, ideally within EBD or similar settings

Confident leading teams and managing challenging situations

Emotionally resilient, empathetic, and committed to therapeutic practice

Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (essential); Level 5 or working towards it (desirable)

Willing to work on a rota including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins
