About the Opportunity:
Our client is looking for an experienced Senior Residential Support Worker or Deputy Home Manager to join a well-established children's home near Northampton.
Set within a spacious four-bedroom country home surrounded by its own grounds, this service provides a calm and therapeutic environment for children and young people with emotional and behavioural needs. The setting offers a unique opportunity to lead within a home where relationships, consistency and positive outcomes are at the heart of everyday practice.
As Deputy Home Manager, you'll work alongside an experienced leadership team with the support of a wider regional network. This is a role where your ideas are welcomed, your development is encouraged and you'll be given the confidence to progress towards Registered Manager when you're ready.
About the Role:
• Support the Registered Manager with the day-to-day leadership of the home
• Provide guidance, supervision and encouragement to the staff team
• Help create a safe, therapeutic and nurturing environment for children and young people
• Support care planning, safeguarding and quality assurance processes
• Assist with staff rotas, admissions and operational responsibilities
• Lead the home in the Registered Manager's absence with clear support when required
• Promote positive outcomes through consistent, child-focused practice
What Makes This Opportunity Different:
• Beautiful rural setting offering a calm environment for both children and staff
• Therapeutic, trauma-informed approach with a genuine commitment to reducing restrictive practice
• Strong regional leadership offering guidance, mentoring and shared accountability
• Fully funded Level 5 qualification and structured leadership development
• Opportunities to influence practice and contribute ideas across the wider organisation
• A provider committed to developing future leaders rather than expecting people to manage alone
About You:
We're looking for someone who is passionate about making a lasting difference and ready to take the next step in their leadership journey.
You'll ideally have:
• At least two years' experience within a residential children's home
• Experience as a Senior Residential Support Worker or Deputy Manager
• NVQ Level 3 or Level 4 in Children and Young People's Workforce or equivalent
• Good understanding of Ofsted regulations and safeguarding responsibilities
• Experience supporting staff, managing rotas and contributing to quality standards
• A calm, reflective and child-focused approach to leadership
• Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle
Why Join?
This is an organisation that believes strong leadership comes from support, development and shared responsibility.
You'll benefit from:
• Salary from £33,360 rising to £35,577 plus sleep-in payments
• Fully funded Level 5 qualification
• Clear progression towards Registered Manager
• Structured induction, supervision and ongoing leadership development
• Enhanced maternity and paternity pay
• Employee Assistance Programme and wellbeing support
• Blue Light Card and employee discount schemes
• Staff referral bonus
• NEST Pension Scheme
• 28 days annual leave including Bank Holidays
