We’re looking for a committed, compassionate Learning Support Mentor to join a dedicated school team in Greater Manchester. If you’re experienced in working with young people and ready to play a meaningful role in their emotional, educational and social development — this could be the right next step.
What You’ll Do
As a Learning Support Mentor, you’ll work closely with teaching staff and the care team to support young people with complex needs. This includes:

Supporting pupils’ academic and emotional development, both 1:1 and in small groups

Promoting resilience, independence and self-esteem through daily interactions

Supporting delivery of tailored learning activities and structured routines

Helping children overcome barriers to engagement, including those returning from care settings

Collaborating with staff to maintain a safe, consistent, and nurturing school environment
What We’re Looking For

At least one year of experience working with children in educational or care settings

Understanding of safeguarding, behaviour management and inclusive practice

Ability to build relationships and promote a calm, supportive atmosphere

A Level 2 NVQ (or equivalent) and strong English and Maths
-
Flexibility, resilience, and a genuine commitment to the wellbeing of every pupil
