Location & Context:
A 2-bed therapeutic children’s home in Ashford – part of a long-standing foundation with deep roots in relational care and sustainable practice.
Introduction:
This is a Registered Manager role shaped by experience, not unrealistic expectations. You’ll be joining a well-respected provider that understands the weight the role can carry and has built systems to share it.
For over 110 years, our client has helped children rebuild trust, confidence and stability after trauma. As Registered Manager, you’ll be a key part of that journey with reflective supervision, clinical insight, and a leadership team that genuinely listens.
About the Role:
As Registered Manager, you’ll:
• Lead the home day-to-day with a calm, relational approach
• Build a team culture based on shared responsibility and emotional safety
• Oversee care planning and quality practice
• Support, supervise and develop your team
• Work closely with the Responsible Individual and senior leadership
• Act as Designated Safeguarding Lead with full support
What Makes This Opportunity Different:
• You’ll be part of an organisation that retains its leaders – not just replaces them
• Clinical, operational and peer support are built in from the start
• Supervision is consistent and reflective – not just compliance-focused
• You’ll have access to a health cashback plan, funded qualifications and up to 40 days' annual leave over time
• The foundation is values-led, with a focus on stability, not scale
About You:
Experience & Qualifications:
• Level 5 in Leadership & Management (or willingness to work towards)
• Strong experience in residential childcare
• Confident in leading staff and navigating the Children’s Homes Regulations
Personal Qualities:
• Emotionally resilient and grounded under pressure
• Collaborative leadership style – reflective, not reactive
• Committed to creating a safe, consistent space for children
Why Join:
You won’t be expected to hold everything alone. This is a role backed by structure, shared accountability and a culture of care. Your wellbeing, voice and development matter and that’s reflected in how the organisation leads.
