A Residential Support Worker opportunity within a specialist setting in Oakwood, Derby, supporting a young person on a 3:1 basis under DoLS. This is a highly structured environment with a clear mental health focus, supported by a consistent and experienced team.
Introduction:
This role offers the opportunity to work within a well-supported, clinically informed setting where care is delivered through a team approach. You’ll be part of a stable structure that includes RMN input and experienced support staff, ensuring the responsibility is shared and guidance is always available.
About the Role:
• Provide consistent, therapeutic support to a young person within a 3:1 staffing model
• Work collaboratively with an RMN and wider team to deliver structured care
• Support both day shifts and waking nights (7–7 pattern)
• Follow care plans and risk assessments with a clear, supported framework
• Build positive, trusting relationships while maintaining professional boundaries
• Contribute to daily records and ensure accurate, reflective documentation
• Support the young person’s emotional wellbeing and individual needs

About You:
Experience & Qualifications:
• Level 3 in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) preferred
• Experience working with young people, ideally within mental health or complex needs
• Full UK driving licence preferred

• Reflective and open to guidance from clinical and senior staff
